Courses & Aid Stations

Half Marathon

Looking for a spring-time challenge? Take on the grit-testing Half Marathon!  There's a little bit of everything on this course: creek crossings, mud, roots, rocks, grinding climbs, great views, grassy rolling double-track, and swift, windy single-track.  The course is extremely well-marked with a generous 4 hour & 15 min time limit and 3 kickass aid stations.  The course is new AGAIN this year, so winners will set the new course records!  This year's course will take you the full the length of the Buck Ridge Trail, all the way from Pine Grove Furnace State Park to King's Gap State Park!

Half Marathon Course

Plan ahead to ensure your success!!!

The difficulty of the Half Marathon course is definitely front-loaded !! I have therefore adjusted cutoff times to reflect this.  If you are close to or at the cutoff time when you arrive at Aid Station 3, you have to remember that you HAVE TO HUSTLE! The paces you have to hit to finish in time are FASTER than in the beginning (but this is mainly downhill or flat, so YOU CAN DO IT!!!)

AID STATION 1:   3.9 Miles, Soft Cutoff: 10:20am

AID STATION 2 - WATER ONLY STATION:  6.5 Miles

AID STATION 3: 8.5 Miles, HARD CUTOFF: 11:54am

AID STATION 4: 11.8 Miles, HARD CUTOFF: 12:48pm
