If your desired race fills before March 19th, you can hop on the waitlist for free! If a registered participant drops out before March 19th, you will be notified and then have a short window in which to claim the registration opportunity. Keep an eye on your inbox!! There will be NO movement from the waitlist after March 19th. End of story!
The In-Person Half Marathon is limited to runners aged 16+, although runners ages 15 and under may enter if accompanied the ENTIRE DISTANCE by an adult. This adult may register as an entrant for regular price, or accompany the child for free but will be ineligible for competitive prizes and receive no race shirt.
(This "free" option is in place to encourage young runners with less trail experience to challenge themselves. There is NO adult "pacing" option!)
Anyone 0 - 100+ years old with a reasonable sense of direction and ability
to follow brightly colored flags within a practical amount of time may enter the In-Person 5K.
If you ABSOLUTELY must switch distances in order to get your boodie to the race, YOU must officially switch your registration through RunSign Up.

If you have registered for the IN-PERSON race on April 2nd and are not well or have been exposed to the Coronavirus, you may transfer to a VIRTUAL option. If it is past March 19th, you'll need to email the RD directly. If it is before March 19th, you can manage this transfer yourself.

Any time BEFORE 11:59pm on March 19th, and only IF there is a waitlist, you may defer your entry until next year. You will incur a processing fee. You may only defer your 2023 entry one time.
There will be NO DEFERRALS AFTER MARCH 19TH FOR ANY REASON.

If your race fills and there are folks on the waitlist to fill your spot, you may request a refund according to following schedule:
You may see this at other races, but not this one! Sorry! We absolutely do not allow bib transfers. You may not offer your spot to a buddy. Encourage your buddy to sign up before it closes!
The entry process closes at 11:59pm on March 19th or when the race fills, whichever comes first! There will be no more public registrations after this time! Please don't ask!

For IN-PERSON racers, please remember that your slinky, technical race shirt is only guaranteed until your race starts on race day! VIRTUAL racers will have shirts sent to them.
Your deferral DOES NOT guarantee a spot in the 2023 race! You MUST CLAIM YOUR DEFERRAL in order to be registered for this year's race!
Instructions for claiming your deferral can be found here. This is a RunsignUp tutorial. The first section describes "How to Defer Registration". Skip this...you need to follow the instructions afterward titled, "How to Claim a Deferred Registration". (This process seems to work better from a computer than from mobile phones.)
In order for this to work, you must use the email with which you registered in 2022. If you have changed emails since last year, contact me right away!
Deferrees can register anytime during the public registration period. But remember, your spot IS NOT GUARANTEED. If the race fills before you claim your deferral, you will forfeit your deferral! Don't wait!!!
